OMGOSHHH!!, TODAY... I HAD AN EXAM ON THE RESPIRATION SYSTEM INCLUDING THE CIRCULATION SYSTEM AND OMFG I HATED IT!! THIS IS ALL I REMEMBER ...................... glucose + oxygen ------> energy + carbon dioxide + water ARGHHH and also
Red blood cells :
*bi-concave discs * no nucleus * lives up to 100/200 days * contains red pigment haemoglobin ( grabs hold of o2) * made out of red bones (marrow) *haemoglobin contains iron (FE)
i had to right the 2 pages long just to remember this off by heart T_T...........
White blood cells:
2 main types of white blood cell: Phagocytes ( engulfs foreign particles) Lymphocytes ( chemical fighters + anti-body) * nucleus * fights diseases
Plasma :
* 90% water *pale yellow *contains : food + hormones ( sugar, protein && some fat) albumin fibrogen ( ...................................) forgot
Platelets: *involved with blood clotting ............ thats all
